Copyright and DMCA policy

Last updated: 2026-10-08

This page explains how to tell us about material on this site that you believe infringes your copyright, and how to respond if material you provided was removed.

Our approach

We respect intellectual property. We respond to notices that comply with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. 512) and to equivalent notices under other laws.

How to send a notice

Send your notice through the contact form with the topic "Copyright notice". The form asks for each element below. A notice must include:

  1. your physical or electronic signature;
  2. identification of the copyrighted work you say is infringed;
  3. identification of the material on this site and its URL;
  4. your contact information;
  5. a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent or the law;
  6. a statement that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.

Counter-notification

If material you provided was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you can send a counter-notification through the same form. It must include:

  1. your physical or electronic signature;
  2. identification of the material removed and where it appeared;
  3. a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification;
  4. your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which the service provider may be found) and will accept service from the person who sent the original notice.

We may restore the material 10 to 14 business days after receiving a valid counter-notification, unless the person who sent the original notice tells us they have filed a court action.

Misrepresentation

Under 17 U.S.C. 512(f), anyone who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages.

Repeat infringers

The site has no user uploads. This policy applies to any material contributed to the site, and we will stop accepting contributions from anyone who repeatedly infringes.

Forwarding notices

We may forward a notice or counter-notification to the party concerned.
